Kim Winternitz is a Project Coordinator at Intradura Afvalintercommunale. In utilising her existing network of contacts for a series of interviews she was able to elevate the thesis beyond being a traditional ‘desktop study’ and produce a truer more realistic view of the implementation of tyre EPR’s. Kim was able to take the raw data from these interviews and transform them into a number of clear and perceptive case studies. Kim was given a very brief generic synopsis from which to work. However, she was able to adapt and enhance that brief to produce a report which will be useful not only to myself but other colleagues involved in the development of waste policy. During the researching and drafting phase of her project it was evident that Kim has a clear understanding of not only her own time management, but also of project management in the wider scale. The qualities displayed throughout this process and ultimately the quality of the thesis itself leave me in no doubt that Kim would excel in policy, research or consultancy and will be an excellent and worthy addition to any organisation.
