My experience at a major commercial real estate management and development company and at a leading New York law firm has given me a unique and valuable insider’s perspective. I’ve been on both sides of the table in complex deals involving the construction and permanent financing of retail centers, hotels and industrial buildings, as well as the acquisition and sale of retail properties and the leasing of retail space. At A.Y. Strauss, LLC, I’m working in a smaller and extremely dynamic professional environment that reflects the high level of personalized attention, intellectual talent and depth of experience that one would otherwise expect from a larger law firm. This boutique firm focuses on retail, multifamily, office, and industrial real estate transactions as well as land and redevelopment projects.

I served as Associate Counsel for one of the nation’s largest privately held real estate management and development companies, whose portfolio includes over 18 million square feet of shopping centers, industrial/storage facilities, hotels and office buildings throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. I represent the company’s principals in various transactions, including the financing, acquisition, sale and leasing of its properties. Prior to working at RD Management LLC, I spent four years at Kaye Scholer LLP and concentrated my practice on the representation of large financial institutions in connection with financings of shopping centers, office buildings and hotels.
