I’m a recent Kinesiology graduate from the University of Saskatchewan. I graduated with great distinction and with a minor in Nutrition. During my studies I spent a few hours a week volunteering my time with youths with disabilities/impairments, at nursing homes (long-term care), and with the university’s student’s union. While volunteering with these organizations, I gained valuable knowledge on the importance of patience and understanding with different types of populations and age groups. The combination of volunteering and studying has given me the theoretical knowledge and experience of being in a health-related setting as well as understanding customer service. While it is early in my Kinesiology career, I am currently interested in gaining real-world work experience with physiotherapy/sport therapy clinics who are eager to mentor junior/entry-level employees.
