As a child protection social worker, I worked with children and families who were facing complex challenges and risks. I am registered with Social Work England (SWE) and have a post graduate diploma in social work to include advanced relationship-based practice with children and families. I have significant experience in first response children's social care, where I supported vulnerable children and assessed their needs and strengths. I have now transitioned to a supervisory post overseeing foster carers and ensuring safeguarding of children who are within the care system to widen my knowledge in the service area. My passion for working with children and families stems from my own personal and professional journey. I have a background in integrative counselling, with over 10 years of experience in supporting people with trauma. I am an expert by experience in childhood sexual abuse, thriving with complex PTSD. I believe that with a fierce belief and provision for support, everyone can achieve amazing things. I use a solution-focused approach to empower individuals and groups to overcome their challenges and improve their outcomes.
