In this role, I conduct annual walkthroughs for Key Controls in which are my responsibility. Work with business operation to ensure their process flowchart and documentation properly reflect their control. Assist with gathering required data from the business operations which is used for the Annual Risk Assessments. Perform Key Control testing throughout the year and monitor close issues which are opened in cases of failed Control tests. I manage and maintain our worldwide Inventory Plan file in which Corporate, External Auditors, and Internal Control uses for creating their next year testing plans.

This is an outstanding role in which I provide contract review work, manage parts/portions of the accounting close process, prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, consolidate and submit balance sheet causals, manage ad-hoc requests, and utilize subject matter expertise for term leases and competitive buyouts. Recruited to this opportunity by a former Xerox manager, I additionally serve as a key resource to the contract specialist community, finance directors, account teams, and an offshore analyst in Manila, the Philippines. Highlights include the successful review and approval of thousands of transactions with contract language totaling $332MM+, serving as the sole subject matter expert relative to such enterprise accounts as Kohls and HCA/HPG, providing accounting guidance to operational partners (i.e., contracting, pricing, billing, legal, and operational controllers), and assuming many new responsibilities in recent years following the departure of multiple staff specialists.

With emphasis on bringing WW inventory balance to under $1B, I assisted with oversight for all major financial processes, including plan, plan updates, outlooks, and actual results. Primary activities included the calculation of monthly inventory usage, inventory turns, day of supply, and the creation of queries in EFIW (Enterprise Financial Information Warehouse) to support the Xerox Business Units in improving inventory results and reporting. This was a very rewarding assignment in which I played a key role in developing inventory reporting processes, including maintaining the 4D reporting tool that was utilized by senior management due to its ability to provide a consolidated view of WW inventory balances. Additional contributions included helping bring down the WW inventory balance to below $1B, mentoring multiple student interns, supporting Sarbanes-Oxley objectives, providing our external auditor with data on a quarterly basis for all North American inventory turns, and being credited as a key driver in improving accuracy of the DSI usage calculation worldwide by assisting with the elimination of non-inventoriable costs.

In addition, I managed PSG bonus calculations and account reconciliations, provided flash reports for revenue, consolidated and assembled a census package due annually for the Tax Group, booked various journal entries as needed for balance sheet and capital movement, booked entries for P&L, completed the balance sheet close each month, and provided causals to Corporate.
