I work with our Marketing Manager to create content strategy; I then write, edit, and maintain content across our blog, website, and social media. I also collaborate with our Operations, Development, and Product teams to handle all messaging and customer-facing communications.

I copy-edit website content and communications, which involves addressing both simple errors and fundamental consistency of tone or vision. I also handle necessary research, as well as the summary and presentation of that research, and create blog posts relevant to our purpose.

SIFL offers skills development and mentoring on lawmaking, budgeting, media training, ethics, protocol and balancing political, personal and family life (among others). The proposed program is envisioned as one the world’s first comprehensive training programs for aspiring legislators; it will reside in UBC's Centre for the Study of Democratic Institutions. My work included research and compiling information, editing and writing, andfacilitating discussion among participants. I contributed to the planning and implementation ofa political simulation, during which I accompanied the Institute to the Legislature inVictoria, BC.
