SPECIAL EDUCATION DIRECTOR: For the past 4 years I have been the Director of Special Education at Renaissance Academy Charter School in Pleasant Grove. I manage a staff of three special education teachers and one paraprofessional. I supervise the services of the school’s 64 students with disabilities. During my time at Renaissance Academy, I have implemented new math and language arts supplemental curriculum, as well as a researched based READING program to help meet the needs of our most challenged readers. I have implemented a new IEP file system, daily tracking and monitoring system, and organized a Special Education Resource Library for students, parents and staff. I am Woodcock/Johnson certified and have experience in administering many other testing systems as well. I have taught and/or co-taught Saxon math, reading and spelling to Special Education, At-risk, and 504 students.

Directed our special education staff of three full time teachers and 9 paraeducators. I managed the case files of 90 students with Individualized Education Plans. Oversaw curriculum and services.
