Beginning my career in social work, I was driven by a desire to help others. After working for a few years in the field, I discovered my passion for making a difference through education. Transitioning into education as a High School Career Coach/College Navigator was the best career change I could have chosen. I provided students with the guidance I lacked in high school. While serving in the role, I empowered students to understand the various opportunities that community college offered. My goal was to illustrate the power of community college in shaping students' lives. Now, as the Career Services Coordinator at Rappahannock Community College, my mission remains unchanged: to make life better for others. Therefore, I seek to foster meaningful connections with local employers to offer students valuable work-based learning, mentoring, and employment opportunities.
