I am an educator, customer service and care provider. Throughout all my varied occupations, this statement remains true, regardless of the industry in which I have been employed.I began my journey as a teacher in the New Orleans Public School system. I remained a teacher, briefly, after relocating to Colorado in 1991. Then, I worked as a retail sales associate and as a manager for a predecessor of Macy’s, and subsequently, a Walgreens store, in a challenging urban area. More recently, I have worked for Sprouts, as a vitamin & body care clerk and manager.From there I decided to attend paralegal school, graduated with my paralegal certificate, and began a lifelong vocation, assisting attorneys and working in law firms. My most recent "day job” was as a paralegal, primarily assisting people with estate planning and administering estates, navigating the difficulties of planning for, and dealing with, end of life concerns.Throughout my life, I have always enjoyed connecting with seniors. I had an extraordinary relationship with two of my grandparents. So, along the way, I obtained a nurse aid license. Then, when my dog’s traumatic injury led to volunteering her for pet therapy, I detoured into the elder care profession, working as a therapeutic recreation assistant, and ultimately providing private, holistic elder care.My own personal experience with an autoimmune health concern spurred my interest in natural and holistic health and I chose to pursue in-depth knowledge about it. I obtained my Holistic Health certificate, and later, a clinical Aromatherapy certificate. I currently teach workshops and classes about holistic health and Aromatherapy. I also provide clinical consultations.I am a tenacious, multi-faceted professional with a powerful personal and work ethic. I am a life-long learner and I take the time to share the knowledge I have learned along the way with all I encounter, in all environments. I truly serve my legal and elder clients, my workshop “students” and customers.
