Responsible for the administration and implementation of UNC’s human resource policies and procedures within the school of pharmacy supporting over 200 full-time faculty and staff. My position works independently reporting to the Executive Associate Dean of Administration/CFO and has regular interaction with other administrative offices within the school, university human resource, academic personnel and equal opportunity offices and staff. My objective is to become a strategic partner with the division, centers, etc. of the school of pharmacy and satisfy their organizational and human resource needs which includes but not limited to resolving complex employee relations issues, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and providing training and development programs.

Developing and implementing policies within the school of medicine, to assure compliance with university policy and to assist the School of Medicine administration in the effective management of the school.Serve as a liaison with the University's central Human Resource Office and Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity in all areas of human resource management within the school.Responsible for policy issues affecting the faculty of the school of medicine, as well as employee relations issues that may involve faculty and staff.Evaluate current and proposed management structures, providing review, analysis and strategies to produce more effective operations within the schoolProvide support to all School of Medicine departments in the development of employment strategies. Assist in designing departmental structures and develops appropriate position descriptions to assure accurate assignment of responsibilities and compensation. Identifies conflicts and equity concerns and assists in resolving these issues.Provides consultation to departments regarding employee relations issues and works closely with faculty, supervisors and administrators to revolve issues.Administers the performance management process for the School of Medicine
