My duties as Assistant Coach of the UCSD Women's Rowing program involved coordinating a team of 30 novice athletes for team meetings, practices while also acting as a mentor. I accomplished this by helping the athletes to establish team goals, along with their individual goals in regards to the sport and academics. Our team had practice six days a week which I was responsible for planning practices, and executing on and off the water instruction. Ultimately, my goal in this position was to create a positive experience for the athletes in order to improve retention of athletes. I was able to accomplish this by using my passion for logistics and organization, as well as experience with team management.

As a Seasonal Educator with lululemon athletica, I was able to get hands on customer experience during the busy holiday shopping season. My position as an educator required me to represent the brand and properly educate customers on potential products that would fit their needs. As an educator I was able to fine tune my problem solving skills, while also learning how to take initiative in a very high pressure environment.

As Director of Summer Sailing I was tasked with planning and executing a six-week long summer sailing program for children ages 5 through adults ages 18+. I was the sole planner in budgeting, marketing, hiring and supervising during the program. Once I established a team of 10 instructors, I was then responsible for setting salaries and coordinating parent volunteers. In my year as Director I was able to increase tuition revenue by 35%, by using my marketing and advertising skills along with meeting planning. This position required me to plan and manage weekly events over the 6 weeks, as well as an open house for potential students. These events were all with 100+ attendees, and the end of the year banquet sold out with 250 attendees (a record attendee for this event).
