I currently work within the Cardio Vascular Surgery department as a medical assistant. My duties include but not limited to ensuring chart completion along with patient assessment

 Served as a Medical Assistant and Patient Advocate in a clinical setting. Directly trained new employees and students on policies and work flow. Assisted with patient needs by floating between departments: : Immediate Care, Pediatrics, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Pulmonology, General Surgery, Allergy, and OB/GYN. Provided phone triage, patient assessment, CLIA waived testing and injections. Assisted with minor surgical pre and post procedures; ensuring the physician had all patient information. Aided patients with medication refills and service provider referrals. Received and listened to complaints and grievances from patients or individuals. Made inquiries into patient complaints, initiated corrective actions or changes necessary to resolve problematic situations.

 100 hours worked monthly Completed safety equipment checked, reported any non-operational equipment, communication closely the flight crew. Ensured passenger and crew safety. Informed passengers and follow FAA laws and regulations as well as company regulations. Completed safety/ company enhancement reports. Responsible for sales reports for each fight.  Received certificates for exemplary customer service; given by the Executive Platinum, Platinum passengers.

Respond to medical emergencies in the 144 square mile district. Standby for the firedeparment at sutructer fire incidents.

 4-10 hours paid weekly 10-20 unpaid weekly College Level Educator Educated EMS students in the treatment of patients in the pre-hospital setting; including medical and trauma patient assessment and vital signs. Instructed students on Lifting, moving, splinting, bandaging, documentation, and legal issues.  Tested skills advancement of students and aided in the instruction of Special needs students.

To prepare students as young as 10 years old on the safety of operating a snowmobile. Teaches riding styles, first aid, survival, mechanics of the machine, weather preparedness, and laws. This is a volunteer position with in the Department of Natural Resources.

 Served as the C.E.R.T Coordinator from 2009-2012 (Community Emergency Response Team), a division of Homeland Security. Responsible for the development and coordination of the C.E.R.T team. Trained all volunteer civilians.  Managed inventory; responsible for verifying expiration dates and proper counts on medications to include narcotics.  Maintained/ordered supplies for the CERT Team. Wrote yearly grants for funding of CERT supplies via Citizens Corps

Teach basic life saving techniques in CPR also basic First Aid

Firefighter/Paramedic/ Public Educator/ CPS Technician 24-48 hours weekly 10 hours volunteer weekly Served and protected the community in emergent times. Educated the community in CPR/First Aid, Fire Safety, Car Seat Safety, and prepared for mass Disasters. Ensured the proper maintenance and functionality of all equipment and vehicles.

Greeting patients and triaging as they come for appointments for the physician or nurse visit. Perform in house Chemistry ,CBC and Blood glucose testing . Perform CLIA waived testing to include pro times, strep, mono, and urinalysis. Accounts receivable and payable. Process payments from insurance and claim corrections. Payroll and employee scheduling for 4-5 people. Managing of office supplies and purchasing. Patient assistant programs and referrals.

Assessing patients, Clia Waived testing, In house testing, phlebotomy, communications with local pharmacies and medical offices.assist with minor office procedures.
