Liason between parent board and programs leads under Education: Art, Battle of the Books, Characters Come Alive, Cultural Studies, Field Trips, Performing Arts, Read Across America, Reflections, and Spelling Bee.Lead Chair for Reflections - A National art contest run by PTA that involves finding local sponsors, providing prizing, marketing and communications, securing judges in professional art fields, organizing and planning a art gallery event.Lead Chair for Cultural Studies Program - A year-long program that enriches students learning experience through learning about a different country. 2019-2020 Year of Nigeria: I created a program that consisted of 2 assemblies with outside speakers, a hat craft and a passport craft for each, graphic design and copywriting for flyers that went out monthly to kids and families, updates and presentations monthly to school-wide audience during parent meetings, event planning for Independence Day celebration and our Back to School BBQ, coordinated with staff and teachers to bring instruments for music, art lessons for art, Nigeria-themed soccer games during PE, books at the library, fun facts during monthly spirit assemblies and an eye-catching display case for visitors and students to view at the school. 2020-2021 Culinary World Tour - To take advantage of families being at home, I coordinated with families to bring monthly cooking videos highlighting different cultures to homes at our school, graphic design and copywriting for flyers that went out with videos with fun facts about each country, and culminating in a cookbook that is used as a fundraiser. Wednesdays After School Series coordinator - A new program I created during the pandemic to bring kids in all classes together via zoom after school classes. "Recess with a Purpose."
