Kimberly Schulz is the Hearing Office Chief Administrative Law Judge of the Bronx NY Hearing Office with the U.S. Social Security Administration. Kimberly has been with the Agency for over 13 years and has received multiple Recognition of Service Awards and Deputy Commissioner's Awards for her success in training and mentoring attorneys on a national level. Kimberly has served as a Senior Attorney, collateral duty Equal Employment Opportunity Counselor, regional mentor, and Quality Review Specialist during her time with SSA. Kimberly also has 5 years of experience as a litigation attorney, serving as lead counsel relating to general liability claims with a focus on property damage, medical malpractice, products liability, contract and lease disputes, labor law/construction accidents and subrogation issues. She made frequent courtroom appearances, engaged in depositions, and was responsible for case management from intake through pre-trial. As an Assistant Corporation Counsel - Tort Division, she vigorously represented the City of New York and its Agencies, such as the NYPD and FDNY. Kimberly earned her Juris Doctorate from Pace School of Law, where she received an academic scholarship, made the Dean's List for Academic Excellence and graduated cum laude. While in law school, she was a Notes Editor of the Pace Environmental Law Review, an extern at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, Sex Crimes Unit, and performed pro bono work at the City of Yonkers Domestic Violence Clinic. Additionally, she held clerk positions at two boutique law firms. She earned her undergraduate degree, attending Stony Brook University and SUNY Cortland, where she was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and Sigma Tau Honor Society, received an English Department award for Creative Writing, and graduated magna cum laude.
