Kimberly Shepherd comes from a family of entrepreneurs based in Southern California. With a broad range and unique skill set, Kim specializes in partnership, strategy, networking and governance within academic institutions, nonprofits, and healthcare. Through a variety of learning and business experiences, Kim has developed a thorough understanding of how effective governance and restructuring can impact an organization. Witin the healthcare industry, Kim played an intrical part in the reorganization of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’ seventy-five trustees and executive committee. Kim and the team categorized the trustees into trustees and directors and introduced a new operating procedures which included term limits. After managing the trustees through this transition and demonstrating the effectiveness of the reorganization. Kim is able to successfully use her unique experiences, including successes and failures and apply them to strategically assist organizations. A variety of board experiences, education in board work, education in SEOs, creative contributions, administering traditional ideas in fresh environments and vice versa give Kim the ability to be fearless in leadership.
