My name is Kimberly Woolley and I am a recent college graduate from Fisher College with a Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentration in Hospitality and Tourism. I aspire to pursue a career in event planning. Fisher college has prepared me for a future career in hospitality and tourism though the various opportunities that I was exposed to. Graduating Summa Cum Laude allowed me to take part in the Golden Key Society and work with other elite students of Fisher College. I also gained leadership skills by taking part in the National Society of Leadership and Success. I was challenged in my studies as a student in the Honors Program and completing a Senior Honors Thesis. I have put the skills I have gained into experience during my internships. I was an intern at The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce and worked to help with pre event data entry, phone calls and day of tasks. I also gained more experience as an intern for the Boston Police Foundation helping to coordinate their first foundation Gala consisting of 500 guests. I assisted by researching Boston merchants to contact for silent auction item donations, and attaining silent auction items. I also helped to reach out to sponsors to help support the Boston Police Foundation. The day of event consisted of set up, VIP guest registration, silent auction overview and assisting guests with any questions. I am looking to put my skills and experience to use in the hospitality and tourism career path.
