About Kimberly Bishop
I am a Nurse Educator in Women's Services. I had been a labor and delivery nurse in a busy hospital for over 20 years. The hospital I work for treats women and newborns of all levels of acuity, and has a level 3 NICU. I am trained in labor and delivery, OR circulating, recovery, antepartum and post-partum. I hold 2 certifications in my specialty and plan to achieve a third one this year. Last year I moved away from the bedside to educate nurses. I was ready for a change and wanted to use my expertise to impact many nurses and patients. My focus is on quality and safety. I want to provide education to nurses in a way that is meaningful and approachable. I especially enjoy working with nurses new to the specialty. I want to foster an environment of curiosity and knowledge that encourages them to want to learn as much as they can.I just completed my MBA and am hoping to broaden my experience to apply both my nursing and business expertise.
