Assisted in supervising the cosmetics department to meet their sales goals and in providing daily sales reports to all cosmetics sales associates. I worked in conjunction with the HR Manager, Lead Scheduler and Counter Managers to develop weekly schedules for all cosmetics associates. I ensured that status checks were being completed on a monthly basis. I tracked deviations and utilized the corrective action process through write-ups. Also, I assisted in the interview process to ensure all positions were filled in a timely manner.

I help ABAN with their visual display booths for festivals and events they participate in as a company. As an intern with ABAN, I have gained a deeper knowledge of entrepreneurship and some of the workings behind a non-profit company. I was able to go to the distribution warehouse to pick up shipment as well as travel with ABAN to some of their events.

I worked as a sales associate for Sun Shops, a surf shop on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in California. There were five branches of this store along the boardwalk that I alternated working at. I completed numerous sales transactions throughout the day, worked with various people, organized the merchandise and displays in the store, and unloaded bins of new merchandise multiple times each week. I also performed opening, closing, and cleaning duties in each store location.

I mainly worked as a cashier, greeting customers with a smile and completing their orders efficiently. I also worked as a hostess, going table to table providing customers with refreshments to their beverages and cleaning up any messes. Whenever needed, I would work as a drive-thru attendant, taking customers orders over a headset and catering to their needs first. Chick-fil-A was my first job and I learned a lot about customer service, leadership, multi-tasking, and politeness.

As a lifeguard at this pool, I was responsible for monitoring the safety of the swimmers as well as giving first aid when necessary. I performed opening, closing, and cleaning duties that were necessary for the pool to operate. During lifeguard rotations, I would work at the pool concession stand completing sales transactions and providing customer service. I also worked at the front desk answering phone calls, monitoring the sign-in sheet as members and guests came in, and filling out important paperwork regarding reservations, events, and parties. In addition to these things, I taught swim lessons to children ages 5-10 on weeknights.
