As a retired US Army sergeant, Certified Specialist of Wine, podcast producer, author, former small business owner, Social Noting facilitator, and mother raising teens, I bring a diverse range of skills and experiences to the table. My freelance work involved volunteering my time to assist small business owners with marketing, financial, and people-related challenges. I hold a strong belief in the role of small businesses in promoting economic health.My 20-year tenure in the US Army, supplemented by 15 years of training in leadership by Cortex Leadership, has honed my skills in public speaking, mentoring, and small group facilitation. In 2011, I sold my first business, Wine Gourmet, and retired from the US Army Reserves. Currently, I manage a small publishing company, Lamplight Press, and serve as the online marketing manager for my husband's boutique law firm.In 2023, I was delighted to be asked to work for Lynda Foster and her team at Cortex Leadership Consulting. Having been a student of the Cortex work for 15 years, I eagerly accepted the position of professional mentor to the 100s of new EPIC (Enhanced Potential through Intentional Coaching) adventurers coming on board in 2024. In addition to my professional pursuits, I am an avid reader of non-fiction and a lifelong learner. I undertake projects that pique my interest, such as assisting with entrepreneurial endeavors, working with independent political organizations like Braver Angels. During my free time, you will find me in the garden or in a creek fishing.
