For the past one and a half years, I co-led a team of 10 students to plan and execute $30k of events each year for the student body, increasing attendance for events by 7.5% in the first semester. I learned and utilized Basecamp for team communication, task completion, and event information. Whether atmosphere implementation, activity logistics, vender relations, or volunteer coordination, I have learned to maintain a big-picture orientation while digging into the details of managing events.

Promoted from Intern of Activities planner to Director of Student Orientation, I had the opportunity to direct a core team of 5 individuals as well as a group of over 300 volunteers, equipping them to be small group leaders through a two-day training process. This $100K event for 1,000 new students and their families required detailed set-ups and line management with day-of-event problem solving. Over the course of the 6 month long planning process, I developed relations with administration through face-to-face and technological communication and collaborated with an outside vendor to create an activity with a throughput rate of 1,000 kids in 2 hrs.

Built relationships with residents of male and female dorms while hosting events to build community in the individual units. Over the year, I worked with the Resident Assistant to carry out communication with residents.

As a counselor, I had the opportunity to direct and supervise campers ranging from 1st grade to 12th grade, carrying out the camp mission through relationship building and age-specific activities and classes.
