About Kimberly Labno
My career path has taken me across multiple industries and sectors. The consistent elements are developing connections between clients and resources; using data to make best decisions; and innovating with new and reconfigured existing ideas. I have more than 18 years of experience in environmental and public health fields and a fulfilling career built on impact initiatives that have improved individual, community, and cultural wellness. Working with Health Promotion Council, I have managed and overseen nationally sponsored initiatives aimed at system and policy changes across the social determinants of health. What I enjoy most is being part of the changes happening in spheres of community, business, and government to prioritize disease prevention and wellness. One of the highlights of my career at Health Promotion Council was developing and implementing the Pennsylvania Diabetes Prevention Action Plan (DPP Action Plan) to scale and sustain diabetes prevention in partnership with clinical, community, and insurance experts. I was part of a larger convening team with members of the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors, PA Department of Health and Public Health Management Corporation Research and Evaluation Group. It has been deeply rewarding to see the impact of the DPP Action Plan as a forum for Managed Care Organizations to share outcomes and learnings from the DPP reimbursement pilot year; Pennsylvania Medical Society and the National Nurse-Led Care Consortium to measure referral practices across thousands of practitioners; and consensus on necessary strategic communication channels to translate awareness of into demand for prevention programs.
Listed skills include Sustainability, Community Outreach, Nonprofits, Research, and 20 others.
