I’m a library professional with 15 years library and bookstore experience. I have eight years experience in management, and can be a strong leader in any team.Currently, I work at Douglas County Libraries, where I manage the young adult and graphic novel sections at James H. Larue Library in Highlands Ranch. I create genre guides, book lists, reviews, and recommendation resources for young adults. I also contribute original articles to library blogs. I'm currently planning and implementing a multi-event community read program as part of a four-person team. In 2015, I spoke on a science fiction and fantasy panel at Denver Comic Con, as well as presenting at library events.I’m passionate about my work and always eager to connect with others who share that passion. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, my favorite part is connecting with readers and helping them discover something new to love. I’m always looking for innovative ways to make those connections: through technology, through library and community events, through blogs, and through patron interactions each and every day. When I can spark that excitement and joy of discovery, that’s the fun part.I’m always interested in hearing from former colleagues, managers, or creative people, so contact me if you’d like to connect.
