I built this business with my sisters Emilee and Elizabeth through referrals, word of mouth and some local marketing from a part time way to make money while going to school into a full time business with a network of consistent repeat clients and a reputation of outstanding pet care, customer service and satisfaction. My services were in such high demand that I would travel from one job to another and my clients typically booked reservations 3 months to a year in advance. Caring for and forming bonds with all those wonderful furry personalities while giving their owners the freedom to enjoy their travels knowing that their pets were getting the best of care was very rewarding. While making sure that all of our clients and patients receive the very best service and care possible are always my top priority, I fill many more roles in the clinic than my title implies. My roles and responsibilites include *Managing the front office and increasing efficiency of reception tasks and clinic operations by implementing procedures and requirements to keep medical records updated with thorough documentation of patient care, vaccinations, client communication and that forms for client and patient information are completed alllowing it to be easily acessed. *Keeping the clinic running smoothly by keeping inventory and ordering office and medical supplies.*Increasing retail and prescription food sales by 40% by changing product placement in the clinic, keeping inventory and placing orders to keep the shelves well stocked and organizing lunch and learns with vendors to educate staff about products and services.*Constantly increasing my knowledge and experience about veterinary medicine, medical conditions and treatments, medications and their uses, and much more. Our clinic does a lot of reproductive work and specialized testing such a OFA tests and screening, BAER hearing tests, artificial inseminations and I have assisted in more c-sections than I can remember. I love aqcuiring and sharing knowledge which is one of the reasons I love working with animals and their people. *I also fill the role of veterinary assistant when needed and do everyting from restraining animals for blood draws and taking client histories during appointments to assisting the Dr during medical procedures and surgeries. *
