About Kimberly Rutledge

Words to live by-“If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, then you are an excellent leader.” "Find out who you are and do it on purpose." "If you see someone without a smile, give them yours."-Dolly Parton I have loved animals since I was a little girl. I begged and begged my parents for a pony, swearing to give up all my clothes so I would have room for him/her to live in my closet. I was, of course, not thinking about the details but my love for animals has been a passion that has driven me to acquire a lifetime of knowledge and experience caring for pets that began with that first pony (that did live in a barn) and grew through the years of caring for and competing in 4-H horse shows. Continuing on as a puppy raiser and trainer for Guide Dogs for the Blind and Canine Companions for Assisted Living, rehabilitating rescued horses and dogs that had been abused and then sharing that knowledge with others as a mentor, riding instructor, and as a trainer for both dogs and horses. Working in the pet care industry for over 20 years hasn't just broadened my veterinary medical knowledge and my understanding of animal behavior and psychology. It has also helped me to discover and to develop my natural abilities and talents. I have found that I have an incredibly resilient capacity for empathy which helps me to form fast connections and bonds of trust with others. My strong communication skills and comprehensive veterinary medical knowledge allow me to assist clients whose pets have complex and/or multiple medical conditions in understanding our emergency and specialty veterinarians instructions and how to provide the best medical care and quality of life for their pets. My innate curiosity and passion to acquire and share knowledge and my love of public speaking and mentorship have shown me that I am a natural leader and teacher, and that I excel in helping others to achieve their dreams. I have spent my life gaining the education and experience that will allow me to turn my passions and talents into an amazing and fulfilling career. I thrive in a challenging environment that offers opportunity for innovation, problem solving and encourages excellence. I favor progress over perfection and that failure is a teacher that shows those who don't give up how to succeed.

Listed skills include Veterinary Medicine, Customer Service, Medical Terminology, Conflict Resolution, and 46 others.

Co Owner And Co Founder

Auntie Em'S Pet Sitting

I built this business with my sisters Emilee and Elizabeth through referrals, word of mouth and some local marketing from a part time way to make money while going to school into a full time business with a network of consistent repeat clients and a reputation of outstanding pet care, customer service and satisfaction. My services were in such high demand that I would travel from one job to another and my clients typically booked reservations 3 months to a year in advance. Caring for and forming bonds with all those wonderful furry personalities while giving their owners the freedom to enjoy their travels knowing that their pets were getting the best of care was very rewarding. I built a large extended family of pets and developed strong and lasting relationships with both the animals and their owners that continue to this day.please visit auntieempetsits.com to see the services we offer.
