I moved back to the United States in 2020 due to COVID after living abroad for more than 8 years. I have taught speaking, presentation, basic English to native and second language learners for more than 15 years ranging from public high school newcomer ESL classes for students just arriving into the United States with little to no language ability, advanced placement (AP) courses, basic university freshman level English composition classes, basic to advanced adult ESL classes, and private student tutoring. I directed 2 programs for the Chinese Education Bureau through a local foreign language center in Inner Mongolia in addition to education programs for students of approximately 600. Most recently, I have been creating curriculum and teaching in Shanghai, China. Prior to moving to China, I taught basic English and conversation to a variety of ages, including university students. While directing the English language program at a university as a guest professor, I also created and directed English camps for up to 500 elementary and middle school students in South Korea. There, I taught all levels of English in basic focus areas such as speaking, writing, reading and listening including interviewing skills and business language for adults, as well as test preparation instruction for TEPS, TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, SAT, and THEA.
