Oxygen are a marketing agency with considerable expertise managing promotions and online competitions for a wide range of clients such as Coopers, Heinz, Cadbury and Kraft. At the agency, I built and maintained a set of white-labeled html templates and forms that were integrated into a custom back-end promotion management system to track all online entries for each promotion. The majority of the front-end effort would then be spent on implementing complex graphically rich layouts and eye-catching animations whilst ensuring it worked seamlessly across all devices. In addition to my development work, I have also been working as a Producer/Technical Lead on other digital projects whenever development work was outsourced to an external third party due to resourcing and/or time constraints within the agency.

Having just recently relocated back to Australia from the UK, I undertook a short 6 week contract with Isobar working primarily on the redevelopment of the ANZ corporate site. My main responsibility on the ANZ site was to develop navigational and design features specifically tailored for various credit card comparison tools. With a heavy focus on modularisation (to ensure a seamless integration into the back-end Adobe AEM solution), the project was built utilising require.js, Handlebars and Bourbon Neat technologies. In addition to the ANZ project, I also worked on updates to a promotional microsite for Huawei mobile phones.

Whilst working at iris, my main responsibility was to manage the redevelopment of the new MINI UK website in conjunction with AKQA and BMW IT. The challenge for this project was to rebuild all existing UK forms that capture leads and 'hand raisers' whilst integrating them into the new Global platform being developed in Munich. Due to the number of agencies/parties involved, the project required all documentation and code to adhere to strict technical guidelines set out BMW IT. I was responsible for producing the majority of the technical documentation along with the technical leads - in addition to my normal day to day project management activities.

Drawing on my solid technical background, I worked on the larger and more technical digital projects within the agency for clients ranging from Casio G-Shock, Miller Brands and Alton Towers Resort. Despite strategy and creative being handled in-house, all development was outsourced to third-party agencies which required vigilant forward planning and a strong focus on check-ins, WIPs and regular communication to ensure that the quality of the work was to the standard expected of the agency as well as the client.

At Spring, my responsibilities were split across both the creative and digital teams. Whilst managing web and ecommerce builds, I was also responsible for ensuring that the production of creative content (e.g. video, still/model/ecomm photography) was delivered on time and on budget for such clients including Bally, Max Mara and Giuseppe Zanotti.

At Havas, I was responsible for the project management all digital projects for Telstra.At the core of all project work is the Retail.LIVE communication platform that is used by the entire Telstra Retail channel. Integrated within Retail.LIVE are 40+ separate applications and custom forms that Havas has built, including commission reports, dealer and contract information, store setup guides/planograms, device repair and tracking information etc.

Working directly with the marketing team to plan and develop websites using Open Text RedDot CMS for each of the various companies/products under the Advantedge brand. Creation of a tailored RedDot CMS baseline project and custom RedDot RQL plugins to ensure consistency and efficiency of the content management process for marketing staff and editors. Assist marketing staff with workable strategies and solutions around SEO and SEM in order promote their products/brands within the online space.

My main role at Areeba was to manage the development process around all RedDot CMS (Open Text Web Management Solutions) projects for both local, interstate and international clients. Apart from being the Technical/Lead Red Dot CMS Developer across all projects within the company (providing technical support and advice within the development team), I also engaged directly with clients on a consultative level to provide workable and practical solutions (within the RedDot CMS space). I also conducted training/handover sessions for each client on delivery of each project, either face to face or via recorded webinars. Whilst working at Areeba, I was assigned as the Lead Developer on the redevelopment of the RedDot Global (OT Web Solutions Group), Hummingbird (OT Connectivity Solutions) and Captaris (OT -Fax & Document Distribution) sites for Open Text using both RedDot CMS and Delivery Server.Pivotal to the success of all Red Dot CMS projects delivered, was the development and ongoing enhancement of a flexible 'baseline' project that I created, which could easily be tailored to meet the needs of each individual project with minimal time and effort.I also created wide variety of custom RedDot CMS plugins that were productised and available for clients to purchase.Areeba is one of Melbourne’s longest running, independent, web development firms specialising in Open Text RedDot CMS based projects but also offering a variety of Consulting, Technical, Digital Marketing, Usability Engineering and Creative services primarily across Government, Not for Profit and Corporate sectors.

DDSN is a small boutique web development agency based in Melbourne that has built and maintained its own custom CMS application (called cm3) during its 15 years in operation. My role at DDSN was to develop sites for Telstra and The Australian Drug Foundation using cm3, including front-end templates and various forms/back end functionality in ASP and C#.NET. I also developed a number of brochureware sites in Flash for Telstra to promote new ranges of mobile phones (Telstra i-mode). Being a preferred supplier for the Victorian Government at the time, I was exposed to W3C web standards, usability best practises and catering for users with disabilities – a legal requirement for all Australian Government websites.

During my time at KAZ I was responsible for the development, support and maintenance of the Australia Post National Customer Database (NCD). NCD is an intranet based web application that enables Australia Post staff to maintain detailed information on all its clients and customers. Work on the project involved constructing web pages using ASP, JavaScript and HTML, creation and maintenance of tables/stored procedures within SQL Server, as well as functional specifications and System Test scripts.
