The Dexcom Software Development Kit (SDK) team creates Dexcom components that mobile developers can integrate to build mobile apps to empower users to take control of their diabetes. My responsibilities include prioritize work based on project needs, task dependencies, team capacities and schedules; conduct impact analysis as requirements emerge; communicate progress and concerns amongst product/project stakeholders to accomplish organization objectives; work with developers to breakdown user needs into use cases and collaborate during translation into requirements; working with various stakeholders including Program Managers, Marketing, User Experience (UX), Human Factors and Clinical, Regulatory Authority and Quality Assurance teams, as well as external teams, to prioritize features into the product backlog,

As a member of the product management team, I was responsible for gathering business requirements from business owners, sales team, clients, and internal users and turning these requirements into user stories for the development teams. Throughout each project, I work with different members of the development teams, including UI and QA, to ensure the features are designed with the best user experience in mind, thoroughly tested, and released in a timely manner and meet the business needs. In addition, I also created technical documentation, when needed, for internal staff and clients. We adopted the Scrum Agile methodology, used JIRA as the development tool and Confluence for documentation purposes.

Adicio’s clients are integral to the success of the company and my role, as a senior account manager, is to build strong relationships with major Adicio clients, providing ongoing consultation on maximizing Adicio products and features so they can be profitable, and retaining these clients as happy customers. I managed several large-sized clients, which included the Wall Street Journal, IEEE, American Medical Association, Las Vegas Review Journal to name a few.

I joined this start-up company, a subsidiary of Vtech Industries, in Orlando, FL as a project manager, and moved to San Diego, CA within my first three months with the company. With this role, I worked with the development team to ensure the project is moving along. As with any start-up companies, we wear many hats to get the job done, which includes working with Vtech product managers to define specifications for the new email communication product line, managing quality assurance team and ensuring test plans and test scripts are defined and executed properly, and creating necessary technical documentation.

Joined the FedEx business team to define billing requirements for the company’s second-generation billing project, which required regular collaboration with different departments in Fedex’ Latin America and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions to understand and define each country’s operating requirements and the effects they have on billing processes.

As a senior programmer at Federal Express, I lead a software development team of 12-15 individuals, using C, C++, Sybase, and other development tools. Our team was responsible for a converting a major billing component from a mainframe-based billing system into a client-server billing environment. As part of this conversion, I was responsible for code-diving and working with legacy system developers & managers to ensure key business requirements are migrated and no loss of functionality.
