As a Research Assistant at the School of Mines, a significant portion of my daily responsibilities revolves around conducting cutting-edge research focused on improving energy absorption. Specifically, I'm exploring the transition from rectangular honeycomb structures to triangular ones.My research journey involves several key steps. First, I experiment with various architectural designs for these honeycomb structures. Once designed, I subject them to rigorous testing within a specialized load frame. The data collected from these tests serves as the foundation for my analysis, where I delve into the implications of using specific materials, such as PLA+, on the structures' mechanical response. This analysis encompasses critical factors like buckling, bending, and shear failure mechanisms.To complete the picture, I conduct a holistic evaluation that combines all these elements. My goal is to determine where the potential for higher energy absorption lies, achieved by analyzing the specific energy of each individual specimen. This comprehensive approach blends experimental work with numerical analysis, providing valuable insights into energy absorption enhancement.In addition to my research role, I am actively contributing to a significant project involving the design of a mental health facility. This multifaceted project includes tasks such as architecture planning and preparing preliminary feasibility reports, showcasing my versatility and commitment to advancing both structural engineering and architectural endeavors.

Civil Engineer: During my tenure at Karteron Engineering, I had the privilege of joining a dynamic team of young professionals who were dedicated to commercial building and housing projects. In this role, my responsibilities encompassed a diverse range of tasks.Primarily, I was extensively involved in quantity surveying, which included quantifying materials such as concrete, brickwork, roofing components (including purlins, rafters, and roof sheeting), and more. This process allowed me to perform comprehensive cost estimations, ensuring accurate budgeting for projects.Furthermore, I applied my skills in structural design calculations, including concrete mix design, to assess the cost implications of various construction methods, such as cast-in-place and ready-mix designs. This helped in optimizing project costs and resource allocation.In addition to these technical aspects, I also played a role in producing architectural plans for private buildings, utilizing software tools like Revit and AutoCAD. I conducted surveying and leveling operations utilizing Trimble's satellite technology to create a contour map of the site with precise stake data points.
