Elena is a senior M&A and corporate lawyer with experience in market-leading public and private M&A and ECM transactions. She has been recognised for her work both in the legal industry and for her advocacy and leadership around equity and inclusion. Elena is an Excellence Awardee in the Young Private Practice Lawyer of the Year awards (2022 & 2018), and has been named one of NZ's Most Influential Lawyers in 2023 & 2022 by NZ Lawyer and is named in the 2021 & 2022 Elite Women Report. She is the first New Zealander to have been awarded the International Bar Association scholarship and the only private practice lawyer to be named a finalist in the INFINZ (Institute of Finance Professionals NZ) Emerging Young Leader awards in 2018. Elena is a regular speaker as a legal expert at international events representing New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific. She has completed a number of ultramarathons in New Zealand including the Tarawera 100 mile ultra, Mt. Kosciuszko 100 mile ultra and UTA100.
