PROFESSIONAL SUMMARYKim HarrisonI am a self motivated, proven professional with over twenty years of sales, physician recruitment, physician referral development and hospital strategic planning experience. I also have extensive knowledge in the areas of contract development, STARK Law, manpower planning and market strategies. Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, I received a B.S in Marketing from Northeastern State University. After relocating to Atlanta in 1989, I have held several key positions with hospitals in the Atlanta area. Most recently, I was responsible for hospital affiliations, sales, and referral development strategies throughout North Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina for Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta - a 400 bed adult specialty hospital widely known throughout the Southeast for its programs in cardiology, orthopedics and robotics surgery. Gross revenue from this region exceeded $94M annually. While at Saint Joseph’s, I was also responsible for the recruitment of 3 robotics surgeons, a Palliative Care Medical Director, and a cardiovascular surgeon. Prior to this, I was the Director of Physician Services and Sales for DeKalb Medical, a 500+ bed, 3 hospital system in eastern Atlanta. During my 10 years at DeKalb, I oversaw all physician recruitment activities, including the development of their primary care network and the medical staff at the newly built DeKalb Medical Center Hillandale. In addition, I managed system-wide sales, outreach, and referral development plans. Prior to this, I acted as the Physician Recruitment Manager for Gwinnett Medical Center where I personally recruited over 35 physicians in a 4 year span. I have also had the honor of serving multiple terms as the President-elect of the Georgia Hospital Association’s Society for Physician Services and Recruitment, a non-profit networking group geared toward education and fulfillment of recruitment and physician services goals throughout Georgia.
