VR Group is Finland's national railway company, operating passenger and freight trains across the country. As a Train Driver, I am responsible for ensuring safe, punctual, and comfortable journeys for our customers. I am also a union representative, advocating for the rights and interests of my fellow train drivers and promoting a positive and collaborative work culture.Besides my current position, I am pursuing a degree in the Faculty of Law at the University of Helsinki. I have a keen interest in aviation, as I have a previous background in the airlines and aviation industry. I graduated as an Air Traffic Controller from Avia College in 2014 and worked as a Lead Flight Planner and Operations & Crew Controller at Finnair and Nordic Regional Airlines. There, I gained valuable skills in airline operations. I am passionate about learning new things and applying my knowledge and skills to different fields and challenges.
