Bluffdale, Utah

Member of startup team and board of directors for an automotive technology startup company that introduced a new and disruptive product in a traditionally conservative industry. -Raised $1.5M from accredited investors to fund the startup venture.-Designed overall branding strategy, including product, packaging, and training materials that were widely cited as a catalyst in accelerating the adoption curve of the new technology. -Worked with the EPA to obtain certified test data showing both the environmental and financial impact of the product on government vehicles.-Developed and implemented successful sales and distribution strategies that drove strong channel adoption. In an 18-month period established nation-wide sales distribution consisting of over 100 Kenworth, Peterbilt, Mack, and Freightliner dealerships carrying the product line.

-Post-merger, assumed responsibility for Federal Government Division, including P&L and general management activity. Grew revenues by over 50% in a two-year period, from $8 Mil to $12.5 Mil.

Involved with multiple aspects of accelerating company growth from $3.5 Mil in revenues and <20 employees to over $90 Mil in revenues and >800 employees in eight-year period. Company merged with Franklin Quest in 1998 to become Franklin Covey with >3000 employees and revenues of over $250M.-Grew diverse group of Fortune 500 and government accounts into highest producing client portfolio in the company. Clients included customers such as American Airlines, Mass Mutual, Milliken, Pharmacia-Upjohn, Kaiser Permanente, and Sony.-Pioneered the company’s entry into the federal government market, including obtaining a GSA contract, which resulted in broad use of the 7 Habits material across all branches of the military (and Navy-wide adoption), extensive work with many civilian agencies including VA, State, Interior, HUD, and Energy, as well as work with NGO’s such as World Bank, United Nations, and the International Monetary Fund.-Established and grew company office located in the Washington DC area, the first and only company presence outside of Utah headquarters,
