CEMEX is one of the largest building materials companies in the world, producing ready-mix concrete, quarry aggregates and concrete products. My role was to train staff across Australia in our main computer programme: SAP. I also attended to helpdesk calls with regards to SAP and other computer programmes/processes (including Microsoft Office and intranet editing). A large part of my role was creating training materials and organising training, including administrative duties for the training team. I was also one of the team members involved with the SAP upgrade project in 2007, where I took leadership of testing and training the cartage (or freight) module of the programme. I was also a Personal Assistant to the General Manager of Shared Services from Feb-Oct 2005, before being promoted to the training team, and started working casually (1-2 days/week) in Feb 2006 to study full-time for my degree.

Byvan (now Savills) were a Shopping Centre Management specialist who managed over 100 shopping centres across Australia. I started my career with the company as a Receptionist at Toowong Village, before moving onto Centre Secretary roles at Albany Shopping Village and 141 Queen Street, Brisbane. I was promoted to Administration Manager of Rockhampton Shopping Fair in November 1998 before accepting the Trust Administrator role in Sydney head office in August 2000. I left the company to pursue a working holiday in the UK. My roles included general administrative/office duties and a large function was in Accounts Receivable and Payable. I also assisted with preparing monthly reports, budgets, business plans and forecasting reports. A small part of my role included assisting with the marketing and operations of the centres as well as ensuring lease requirements were met. Whilst I was Administration Manager, I oversaw a small team of administrative and casual staff.
