Career highlights feature marketing, sponsorships, and public relations for Film Independent, including the Spirit Awards, broadcast live on IFC, and the Los Angeles Film Festival; plus, JanSport, a division of VF Corporation; LA Gear; Oregon Coast Aquarium; and The Living Desert. She is the national winner of the Public Relations Society of America’s Silver Anvil Award for her public relations campaign “Protecting Keiko, star of Free Willy” and winner of the 2006 Desert Ad Federation Gold ADDY Award for her broadcast work for The Living Desert. Spence learned about consumer products during her years at Ogilvy & Mather (O&M) and J. Walter Thompson advertising agencies and managed over 150 Microsoft advertising projects for nearly three years while at O&M. She has served as Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Oregon Coast Visitors Association and was Chair of the statewide Oregon Attractions Group. Recently served a two-year term on the Board of Directors for the American Women in Radio & Television Southern California Chapter as their Publicity/PR Director, and is currently a judge for the Alliance for Women in Media's 2018 Gracie Awards Show held in Beverly Hills.
