The company was undergoing a global transformation for all manufacturing, transportation and backoffice. Kim’s role extended over a two year period that included multiple deployments and initial project design. The scope of the work included gaining an understanding of processes, assess the controls design, assess segregation of duties, and assessing information technology general controls. Kim’s role included communications to executive management and systems integrator.•Develop GRC alignment strategies focused on business processes, segregation of duties and IAM integration.•Assess technical assessments performed to ensure that they align with PwC’s quality expectations for an integrated audit.•Communicate difficult and complex issues to executive management; provide recommendations to executive management on next steps.•Relate complex issues to the financial environment to determine the impact to audit procedures.•Leading and coordinating staff both domestic and internationally for global SOX procedures.•Manage, perform and test controls in international locations including: United Kingdom, China, Germany, and Belgium.•Leading staff members (in teams of 10-12) in the completion of fieldwork for IT controls reviews.
