Kim Whitman is a Digital Marketing Technical Manager at Accountable Digital, LLC at Accountable Digital, LLC. She possess expertise in advertising, online advertising, web design, graphic design, photoshop and 12 more skills. Colleagues describe her as "I met Kim though the Girl Develop It Rochester (GDIROC) chapter where we both attended classes and social events hosted by the local chapter. I am also on the team that develops the annual festival website for the non-profit ImageOut Film Festival (IO). The IO team faced a challenge to make the festival site be responsive on mobile devices. When IO team kicked off planning for the 2016 festival site, I proposed to the team that perhaps there would be some members of GDIROC that would like the opportunity to work on a real project and got the teams OK to move on the idea. I then proposed the idea of working on the IO responsive festival site to the attending members of a GDIROC’s code and coffee event. The GDIROC leadership was very supportive and Kim and a few others stepped up to the challenge. In the early stages of our coding team meetings requirements were understood and we began to evaluate potential solutions. Kim shined in her skills for design and styling of the pages, and setting up the site analytics. She further demonstrated a solid knowledge of web hosting as just days before ImageOut was planning to do the first publicity push for the 2016 festival the entire imageOut website unexpectedly went off line. This occurrence was totally un-related to the work the team was doing on the 2016 festival site build. Kim dug in and identified the issue of having the domain name and hosting being on two different providers. Kim spent time on the phone working with the hosting companies to resolve the issue short term and had the site back online and functional very quickly. She then proposed and pursued the long term solution to have everything moved to one provider to sure up the stability of the site. Kim was an asset to the team above and beyond what we set out to do, and her knowledge of hosting providers and domain names in hand with her proven trouble-shooting skills literally saved the day!
