During my internship at Swan Global Investments, I was able to experience first hand how marketing works with and supports other departments like sales at a small company. I had great practice optimizing a website in order to increase SEO, traffic, and leads. I planned and created emails and associated automatic workflows to nurture opportunities. I also helped plan, create, and execute campaigns for company webinars and the company's attendance to an industry conference. Swan uses HubSpot as their CRM, which is the primary CRM I learned during my studies at Fort Lewis. It was exciting to use the skills I had learned in class and through receiving my HubSpot certifications in a real way.
