A Distinguished Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers; an elected member of the National Academy of Construction; a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the American Institute of Chemists; a Diplomate of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists, with 35 years of progressive technical, program, and organizational leadership experience in close partnership with academia nationwide in engineering consulting firms and Federal R&D enterprises (e.g., Department of Defense and US EPA Office of Research and Development) in energy, environmental, and military construction sectors. Served as the Principal Technical Advisor and Senior Technical Fellow at Tetra Tech, an adjunct professor at Illinois Tech, and as a senior executive leader at the US Army Corps of Engineers' Construction Engineering Research Laboratory. Currently serving as a Senior Vice President at Willdan Group, Inc., for operational excellence and innovation. Received executive leadership training from Harvard University, Center for Creative Leadership, Federal Executive Institute, and Army Management Staff College in addition to engineering education at Illinois Tech, Indian Institute of Technology – Kanpur, and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (India). Held (or currently hold) several senior leadership positions at the board level in several public and private organizations. Internationally recognized for advancing innovative environmental sampling, measurement and treatment technologies from R&D to field implementation in the areas of advanced oxidation processes, microfiltration, sediment sampling, and petroleum hydrocarbon field measurement; field implementation of energy efficiency, electrification, and decarbonization measures, and R&D and implementation of automated construction of expeditionary structures saving lives, time, and hundreds of millions dollars to address complex civilian and military engineering problems. Impacts of my accomplishments of which many "first-in-the-field" have been recognized through many national/international honors and awards from delighted customers, stakeholders, and professional societies. Authored many peer-reviewed technical papers and handbooks and gave invited presentations in national/international forums. Served as a technology delegate to former Soviet Union to address major environmental problems resulting from the Chernobyl nuclear accident and as a Science Advisory Board member for the US EPA Laboratory accreditation.
