I am a producer at Moomin Characters, working with brand management, marketing, content creation for social media and events. I plan and produce content for our social media outlets and marketing campaigns, including videos, podcasts, blog posts and events. On the approvals team, I work with Moomin licensees from all over the world in the publishing, film and TV industries as well as garment, food and cosmetics. I also work with our publisher Förlaget and global agent Rights & Brands.

Managing the company both from a business and creative perspective together with my business partners. Creating, selling and executing new media concepts in print, audio, web and tv broadcasting. Coordinating a pool of freelancers and keeping track of budgets and finances, negotiating terms for new accounts and overseeing the execution of different productions.

Managing the press contacts of the festival, writing press releases and arranging press conferences and interviews for international filmmakers visiting the festival, creating content for the festival's web page and social media outlets, managing the pool of festival photographers and video teams and coming up with ideas for visual content.

Commenting on film on live national TV on a weekly basis. Doing TV stories about cultural affairs (including research, interviews and editing). Directing the studio parts of the program.

Host and part of the editorial team for a film program on national TV (Filmtid). Researching and conducting TV interviews, seeing and analyzing film, hosting the show, editing the program together with an editor.

I worked as a foreign news journalist while studying, sometimes also full time, a few months at a time. I did international news stories for both TV and radio (researching and conducting interviews, keeping up with the newsflow from international news outlets, keeping tracks if incoming material, choosing what images to use in TV stories, etc.). Sometimes I was also foreign news editor of the day (a position that rotated among the foreign news desk staff), deciding what topics should be on the newscast, coordinating the work of the foreign news journalists and correspondents.

At different periods I have been doing freelance work as a translator, translating mainly from Finnish into Swedish. I have worked clients like The Finnish Red Cross, YTHS and Svenska Översättningsbyrån. The software I have ususally used for freelance translation work is Wordfast.

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Writing reports on the political situation in Argentina, coordinating different cultural events, facilitating business contacts between Finnish and Argentinian musical organizations, updating web pages.

Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania

3 month exchange program for young journalists, where the participants learn how to work as journalists in a foreign country in the developing world. The program consisted of a few weeks of internship at a local newspaper, whereafter I worked independently as a freelance journalist selling stories (both print, radio and tv) to different media outlets in Finland. I also travelled to Rwanda for stories. Funded by the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Summer work as a news reporter and layout journalist during the summers 2003, 2004 and 2005. Interviewing people, writing news stories, columns and feature stories, layouting tabloid format news and feature pages using InDesign. During these years, I also did some freelance work for the paper while studying.
