As the sole Human Resources Administrator for Newmar Window Manufacturing Inc., Newmar Window Manufacturing – High Rise & Casa Bella Windows I was responsible for the day to day Human Resources initiatives and various Safety programs and initiatives for over 250+ employees. This role requires extraordinary interpersonal skills and a passion for managing positive working relationships and meeting operational objectives. I provide human resources guidance and support to management and staff to enable the achievement of individual, team and organizational goals.• Full cycle recruitment • Provide HR counsel to Managers on performance management, including improvement notices, progressive discipline and action plans, work performance, attendance management and other legal issues as well as termination procedures and requirements.• Provide all departments with HR support: coaching, guiding, mentoring, recommendation• Conduct accident investigations, allegations of harassment/and or violence and advise management on the situation and make recommendations. • Researches human resources best practices and disseminate updates on federal and provincial legislation as required.• Developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, procedures, programs functions and activities (Company events, incentive programs etc.) • Source vendors and Coordinate events such as on-site catered events, training events, holiday parties etc.• Prepare and administer notices and letters (contracts, termination notices, layoff notices memo’s, safety talks etc.), and other related documentation and consults with legal team as required.• Create safety talks, training information, posters and signage for various purposes.• Liaise with WSIB, MOL, Employment Standards, Service Canada and various other government/nongovernment agencies as required. • Work directly with employees, WSIB and physicians to ensure the safe and early return to work of injured employees
