As a third year Engineering and Science student at The Australian National University, I am passionate about exploring the intersection of robotics, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology. I am majoring in Mechatronics and Neuroscience, two disciplines that complement each other and challenge me to think creatively and critically. I am currently working as a research intern at the Eccles Institute of Neuroscience and as a STEM Cadet at Defence Australia, where I apply my interdisciplinary knowledge and skills to solve real-world problems. At the Eccles Institute, I use machine learning techniques to track and model sequences of animal behaviour and study the algorithmic basis of sensory processing and action selection. At Defence Australia, I have been involved in various projects related to data analysis and computer vision, such as developing algorithms for object detection and recognition. Through these experiences, I have developed strong skills in Python, MATLAB, R, and SQL, as well as teamwork, communication, and critical thinking. I have also completed a two-month internship at AustralianSuper, where I assisted the Global Equities team with market research, portfolio optimization, and performance evaluation. This internship exposed me to the dynamic and complex world of finance and investing, and enhanced my analytical and quantitative abilities. My goal is to continue learning and growing as a researcher, engineer, and innovator, and to contribute to the advancement of science and technology for the benefit of society. I am always eager to take on new challenges and opportunities that allow me to apply my passion and curiosity to make a positive impact.
