Systems Administrator/Project Manager overseeing Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM) and Microsoft Enterprise Configuration Manager (MECM) and for all of VT Army National Guard.• Primary Duties for Cisco Call Manager include Project Management for upgrade of current UCM software and hardware to version 14. Install and maintain M5 Cisco appliances to include all VM hosts. Configure and maintain 6 VG450 voice gateways to manage connection to carrier PRI. Generate, install and maintain PKI certificates to ensure encrypted communication is maintained between approved devices. Install and administer the UCM cluster. Ensure that all VM servers are patched and operating properly. Provide end user support for all phone issues in the VT Army National Guard.• MECM tasks (alternate duty) include preparing deployment packages for all patches that are required by National Guard Bureau. Creates test packages utilizing Powershell to perform automation functions to assist customer support. Monitors health of system and mitigates as needed. Monitors security compliance on network and creates reports to brief the CISSM and CIO weekly. Monitors health of distribution points and mitigates errors and deficiencies as needed.

Oversee all infrastructure upgrades and investments as it pertains to IT at the Rutland plant. • Duties included budget formulation and approval, resource coordination, risk management, contract documentation and award, coordination with 3rd party vendors for implementation and testing of changes, ensuring all projects were operational and stable. Where appropriate, created system documentation, user guides and network diagrams to catalog the finished product. Was primary Point of Contact for all modernization, move or change projects. Coordinated with Engineering to ensure a smooth implementation and ensure inclusion in the Enterprise operations lifecycle. • Was the primary POC for the upgrade of the plant Audio/Visual presentation system to include the ability to live stream content to remote attendees

Works as an IT Architect for ICE Architecture and Engineering Branch. Oversees a large portfolio of Enforcement applications and services, which range from Alien Identification solutions to Bond Management. Assists with defining the specifications, business/IT models, implementation road maps for releases, data migrations, security auditing and transformations. Ensures that the underlying IT architecture delivers the capabilities that address current and future business needs of the initiatives that are being undertaken. Provides guidance for Life Cycle management process and procurement processes. Identifies new, open source solutions that may help ICE meet its data and computing needs.

Direct oversight of the Architecture and Engineering Branch which is an internal facing customer organization working within the Office of the Chief Information Officer for Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Architecture and Engineering is a full service organization that provides engineering support services to the customer base to include capacity planning, systems integration, process improvement, system installations, configuration management, communication management, Network Engineering support, infrastructure support and other related services to the ICE IT community. Holds the position of Chief, Architecture and Engineering Branch and is responsible for a budget in excess of $20 million. Oversees a team of 35 Government and Contract Engineers that are responsible for development and stabilization of Video Conference Systems, Network Switching and Routing designs that are designed to leverage the commercial and government cloud, virtual computing platforms, Enterprise SAN and NAS solutions and mobile computing platforms and solutions. Oversees a team of 5 IT Architects whose duties include maintaining the ICE approved software list, ensuring that design submissions will interact with and are the most appropriate design for use with the established agency frameworks and advising on prioritization of cutting edge technologies that are being introduced into the ICE Enterprise computing environment.

Systems Engineering is a full service organization that provides engineering support services to the customer base to include capacity planning, systems integration, process improvement, system installations, configuration management, communication management, infrastructure support and other related services to the Solutions Delivery Division within OCIO. Held the position of Systems Engineering Director and was responsible for a budget in excess of $20 million. Maintain an infrastructure consisting of 400 plus Dell R710 and 6 IBM P795 servers that were configured for high availability using RAID10 configuration and clustering to include Oracle Real Application Clustering. Maintain an enterprise middle tier software suite at current supported versions to include Oracle, IBM Websphere, Informatica, OBIEE, MS Sharepoint 2010, MS Windows Server 2008 and AIX version 5x.

Coordinate, prioritize and provide oversight to a team of 25 contract Desktop Support Engineers, Network Administrators and Engineers. Coordinate and provide oversight to daily activities of 2 federal employees. Provide customer service at the executive level of ICE HQ. Act as the HQ/Capital Area ITFO Area Manager in the Area Manager's absence. Perform site visits of new sites within the HQ/Capital Area to determine support and engineering requirements in order to enable smooth operation of the site. Perform site visits of existing field sites within the HQ/Capital Area to ensure a high level of customer service is obtained. Acts as a POC for Work site Enforcement activities that affect the HQ/Capital area as it relates to IT issues. Acts as a Project Manager for a variety of projects that are underway within the HQ/Capital Area. Develop cost and functional analysis for new technology and equipment to ensure that it will function within the current or upgraded environment. Determines that industry standards and practices are being followed. Works, in conjunction with the Area Manager, to provide rapid response to ensure continued networks services during catastrophic system failures.

Design, modification and customization of application, reports and various forms that are part of the ACRIMe application. Support, maintain, modify and develop interfaces between ACRIMe and various vendor and internal applications and systems to include the onsite NLETS switch. Developed applications using the Visual Foxpro programming language. Provided customer support to ACRIMe as it applied to modification and support of existing application and requests for design and implementation of modifications.
