I absolutely loved working at Folio, which allowed me to connect with the book-loving community of San Francisco. I recommended books, worked register, stocked inventory, and helped with dozens of small-time projects around the store.

On behalf of Fig1's clients like Walmart’s WineGroup, Kohler, Bulkmatic, and more, I wrote commercial scripts, wrote app games, designed wine bottle neckers, and more. I also redesigned Fig1’s website, as well as created and maintained Fig1's blog and social media.

I was initially hired at 162 to rebrand the company. After creating website content, logo, and image, I was brought on as CMO and Copywriter for 162 LLC, where I help our employees and partners understand our vision, and carry that through to the end client. We specialize in mobile technology, consulting and content strategy, with an emphasis in niche markets.

Wrote an average of three articles per week. Responsible for communicating with editors, finding content, attending pitch meetings, interviewing sources, promoting articles via social media, and writing articles under tight deadlines. In my time with the Daily Iowan I interviewed the Iowa Secretary of State, secured 10 front page articles in one semester, and wrote an article that reached over 10,000 views online.Starting August 2017, I took a large step back from my position as a daily reporter. I now write freelance for Daily Iowan, writing longer "project" articles

At Zeno, I worked on three accounts: RXBAR, Bob Evans Restaurant, and Sears Home Services. My responsibilities included drafting local-market and national marketing pitches, plus client notes, status grids and punch lists. Contributed to office-wide creative brainstorms and tracked/monitored impressions for all accounts’ coverage. Located relevant social media influencers/presenting them to clients and corresponding with reporters via email and phone.• Wrote 20+ pitches for proactive and reactive outreach using existing content from Sears Home Service’s blog• Created 10+ media lists for proactive and reactive outreach for all accounts• Facilitated a live chat with Sears Home Services Rep and Washington Post’s “Home Front,” which generated 43.9million+ impressions. Chat turned into a separate Washington Post article• Track and monitored Bob Evans Restaurant coverage during a crisis mode, when recently-announced partner Coach Urban Meyer was involved in a national scandal• Wrote script and directed video in a creative spin of office-wide intern presentation

I meet with high school students that are interested in attending University of Iowa in the field of Creative Writing and English, where I share my experience, answer questions, and represent the department. During large visiting weekends, I sit on panels for groups of around prospective students and their families. Most weekends, I talk with groups of 3-8 students or meet one-on-one.

Edit, re-write and polish written speeches which include informative topics, persuasive messages, humorous aspects and research for a high school speech team. Meet with competitors to polish delivery and performance style, as well as place competitors in certain events based on skills and potential.

Worked directly with clients, providing insight and suggestions concerning kitchenware, flatware, dish-ware and home decor. I also used our unique system to wrap and close a product, whether it be an in-store sale, online pickup, or back order.

I created content for the Education Foundation's new website, as well as produced promotional videos and campaigns for social media. I was head of a committee for an Arlington High School all-class reunion and worked directly with vendors, D214 employees, and alumni.
