I have been working within the Aerospace industry since 2005. In that time I have gained a wealth of knowledge on industry standards and adapted a focus on quality in every aspect of my work load.I am currently working as part of the Process Engineering team but my journey started in a more hands on role within the production area. This gave me the basis of my understanding about the Aerospace industry and manufacturing in general. The role in production gave me key skills in quality and having an attention to detail. I had to be versatile, working to produce over 30 different designs of power modules & discrete components. It taught me the value of producing quality to strict deadlines.During my time in production I gained experience as a team leader and I installed 5S methodology throughout the shop floor after undertaking an NVQ in Lean Manufacturing. This was the foundation for continuous improvements I went on to make within TT Electronics.I have been working within engineering departments at Semelab since 2012 and this has developed my focus more onto problem solving. I have been heavily involved in reducing scrap costs with improvements made to the business’ variance through scrap year on year. I have completed numerous projects over the years focused on reducing waste, specifically in reducing lead time and scrap costs. Each project gave me new skills and has saved the business noticeable costs over the years.I am currently working as a Process Engineer and looking to optimise the current die attach and wire bonding process capabilities as well as introducing new processes.
