•Primary contact for customers regarding proteomics project design and submission via the iLab project management system (Agilent). Regularly consult with researchers and students about their particular biological system and advise them on best practices •Experimental design and/or implementation of over 400 proteomics service requests•Develop methods and acquire proteomics data using LC-MS/MS (DDA, DIA or MRM) or MALDI-TOF•Maintain or operate various mass specs and LCs: Orbitrap Velos Pro or Eclipse, Waters Xevo TQS, Bruker Microflex and ultrafleXtreme MALDI-TOFs, Thermoscientific Easy nLC and Vanquish Neo, Waters nanoAcquity•Extract and/or digest proteins from variety of tissues (plant and animal), biofluids (plasma, serum, urine, CSF, synovial fluid) & gel bands•Analyze data using Mascot, Scaffold Q+S, Skyline, Proteome Discoverer, Unipept, DIA-NN, flexAnalysis, among others•Generate and deliver detailed reports, including quantitative/statistical analysis of label-free or Tandem Mass Tag labeled data sets. Assisted Dr. Scott Medler’s (post doc in Mykles’ lab) examination of gene expression levels as a function of ecdysteroids in lobster skeletal muscle. The project involved isolation of RNA from lobster tissues, reverse transcription to cDNA, and extensive characterization using Real Time PCR.

Optimization of PCR amplification of the human mitochondrialgenome. 3. Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) detection in and minisequencingof the human mitochondrial genome.
