Kitty initially began her post-secondary education at the University of Waterloo and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. She has also completed an advanced diploma program at Centennial College for Business Administration, specializing in Human Resources. Her short-term goal is to work towards a CHRP designation and her long-term goal is to pursue and develop a career in the field of Human Resources.Kitty is a highly organized and adaptive individual who can work well both individually and in a team environment. She has demonstrated the ability to work efficiently in a stressful and high-paced environment while working in the food service industry, developing her customer service and conflict resolution skills in the process.Kitty has also acquired administrative knowledge and skills while working in both healthcare and office settings. Her initial interest in healthcare and gerontology led her to volunteer at a community pharmacy as well as a Summer Student opportunity at Mon Sheong Foundation where she worked as a Program Assistant. Both of these experiences provided her with a further understanding of the aging population and their needs, which in turn taught her the importance of compassion and empathy towards others. During her Co-op experience at Toronto Hydro Corporation, Kitty learned about the multifunctionality of a Human Resources department in a corporate setting and took on administrative tasks involved with internal engagement and communications, along with event coordination and multimedia content creation. The key takeaways from this experience were not only skill development and growth, but also the importance of safety in workplaces and environmental responsibility for a sustainable future.Kitty acquired hands-on knowledge with the SAP S/4HANA ERP system for Human Resources while working with SAP GUI in a Human Resource Management Systems course during her final semester. This course has led her to develop an interest in HR Administration jobs.
