Tasked to lecture upon topic of my choosing that was related to the overall class themes of the week (e.g., Women in Rome, The Proxy of the Human Skeleton, Roman Architecture Around Europe). While all different topics, my overall agenda was to better understand how modern biases and present cultural structures can (and will) affect academic and personal interpretation. Here, I learned a plethora of professional skills required of a successful museum curator including: installation and research of new exhibitions, a proficiency in PastPerfect collection software, and cosmetic conservation and upkeep of newly acquired objects.
