Working in the Integration team my role is to work in project teams to ensure solutions we develop will work with and make the best use of our existing infrastructure. Project Highlights: - Campus wide role out of Microsoft Teams for all voice calling. Developing and deploying policies to all users and their phone numbers were migrated over. - Azure Integration Platform working as the Team's Dev Ops engineer. Designing supporting Azure infrastructure for our team of Developers to build our API interfaces. Ensuring the systems were secure and stable following modern best practices. - Azure MFA deployment. Using Azure AD and Conditional Access policies we rolled out MFA to all users providing modern protection for their accounts. - Active Directory upgrade to Server 2019. Upgraded all on-premises Active Directory infrastructure to the latest versions and latest best practices.

I returned to Resco in 2016 to complete several upgrades to the existing systems. This includes migrating, updating, modifying the SharePoint 2010 based application I developed in 2014 into SharePoint Online, a Hybrid Migration from Exchange 2010 to Office 365, and a hardware refresh of the office workstations.

Maclean Technology provide IT services to businesses in the Auckland area. We provide end to end solutions; from design, to implementation and support. In my role I provide third level support for our customers, working with technologies from Microsoft, VMWare, Symantec, and Veeam - among others. I also work with our customers on large projects including email migrations to Office 365 and Google Apps, full hardware and OS upgrades, and backup infrastructure redesigns. As a team leader I also oversee other engineers and assist with their planning and workload management.

Resco Ltd is a manufacturing company that specialises in Compact Laminate. We import machine and distribute Compact for toilet and shower cubicles as well as a complementary wall lining system. I originally started working at Resco as a Systems Advisor to assist Resco roll out a new Sharepoint 2010 based application. It was soon identified that my systems skill set could assist Resco in other ways and I moved to a General Manager role. My IT work continued to assist with the Sharepoint rollout as well as supporting and maintaining their Windows Server 2012 and Windows 7 environment. As General Manager I also took on the role of managing staff, accounts payable and a general mentoring role to assist staff.

The Faculty of Dentistry runs a mixed Windows and Mac OSX environment. There are approximately 20 servers running various services including Active Directory, Web hosting, MS SQL Server and proprietary services for the dental applications used in the clinic.My role in the faculty is primarily supporting these services and includes network management including DHCP and DNS configuration, server maintenance and day to day user support and troubleshooting.

The Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec) is a large tertiary education provider based in Hamilton with satellite campuses setup throughout the Waikato region.In my role as Systems Engineer my time was split evenly between providing third level support, assisting the onsite helpdesk and monitoring and maintaining the network and server infrastructure. The majority of Wintec’s infrastructure is Microsoft running on HP hardware but there are also a handful of Linux servers in use. Cisco switches and routers are used to connect the Mac OSX 10.5, Windows XP and Vista workstations to the back end servers.

My time with Wintec started in their onsite helpdesk. In this role I provided both phone and in person support for the 600+ onsite staff members. We also managed the computer labs making a total of 1700 workstations.I built a good rapport with the staff and was highly regarded for my knowledge and friendliness.
