This is an NGO that promotes the development of Ghana. CEDI Ghana fights poverty and unemployment in Ghana by advocating for jobs and providing free entrepreneurship training, mentorship and funding opportunities. We set unemployed graduates, underprivileged, street and disabled youth up for employment by starting their own businesses and employing others in their community. This NGO was co-founded with university lecturers and top government officials and we involve other stakeholders in a policy dialogue that encourage entrepreneurship and job creation.Role• Co-founded with Prof. Dr. Lawrence Lowell (Lecturer), H.E Atta Boafo Kingsley (Consul General, New York) and Late Honourable Abdul-Lateef Majdoub (District Chief Executive).• Head the management team which include university lecturers and government officials (non-partisan). • Hold the day-to-day administration of the organisation.• Represent the organisation at board and governmental meetings, television and radio.Achievements• Organized international symposium for foreign diplomats, government ministers, academicians and business experts in 2017 which addressed unemployment in Ghana.• Promoted Peace in our 2016 presidential election and provided entrepreneurship training, mentorship and funding opportunities to 1,000 unemployed youth of Ghana.• Was awarded a grant from BUSAC Fund, won Middle East and Africa Business Award and was Africa Youth Award Civil Society of the Year Finalist.
