During high school, I had a dilemma between pursuing a biological or IT master's degree. I choose biology, as I can learn from a textbook (or trial and error) how to adjust CSS or code in Python. However, I can't experience how to work with cells, flow cytometry, or RT-qPCR without being present in the wet laboratory. I always had a knack for new technologies and IT, which together with my inherent curiosity creates endless opportunities to merge biology work with some IT "magic". From simple tasks like monitoring test progress on a qPCR system that doesn't provide online monitoring. To write Python scripts that take data from FlowJo analysis, and process it into GraphPad-friendly format to create visualization for stakeholders. I always look for opportunities to improve processes and reduce menial tasks.I have experience with cancer biology, prophylactic and therapeutic vaccine development, while working to GLP and GDocP standards.
