I am a member of the technical staff, responsible for component obsolescence reporting/monitoring, monitoring of technical field failures, and providing periodic reports to major customers. I utilize Total Parts Plus tracking software, Itemsoft MIL-217 software, as well as GIDEP website support to respond to component EOL, and Last Time Buy status events. I also create technical troubleshooting guides for CCA items and help with test system creation and repair.

Responsible for power adapter selection, characterization, validation, quality, EMC, efficiency. ERP7, EnergyStar Level V then VI, efficiency testing with Elgar AC source and Chroma AC Power meter and DC loads.Highest work priority was always product bring-up/debug. Validation of all onboard DC power supply circuits. Debug processor pin biasing issues preventing boot. Verify clock signal integrity and timing. Ensure correct supply sequencing. Perform rework of protoboards under microscope to switch clocks or PCIE lanes etc. Check SATA drive sequencing. Conducted emissions validation of product with intended power adapter. Work issues with suppliers of supplies and DC/DC components.2003 - 2008Responsible for electrical engineering of Branded's ODM-sourced products. Oversight of design, function, feature set, component selection, layout, EMC test, mechanical/enclosure, assembly/manufacturing, test. Wrote initial quick install guides/manuals. Worked with software engineer to develop Stressdisk - our in-house disk test utility (still in use today) as well as production line tests. Products included the first USB, Firewire, eSATA, and NAS drives in retail. I utilized SATA/USB analyzers to work functional test issues. As the group grew, under VP we formed our own in-house Engineering EE/ME teams. I was directed to focus on product quality and selection/specification/test and oversight of power-related components and switcher designs. I developed my own tests using manually adjustable and dynamic/pulse loads as well as built a 48 station load tester with datalogging for long term MTBF validation testing. I created two 250 drive, multi-computer, test rooms for data integrity validation under temperature (one in house, one in a large env. chamber).1990-2003SATA HDD development, script language ATTF/TREX EVT DVT FA etc.
